Day-wise itinerary
Day 1 — Overnight to Hosapete, sacred centre on foot⌄
Arrive Hosapete at dawn and transfer to Hampi. After breakfast, walk the sacred centre with a local guide — Virupaksha, the Hemakuta group, Sasivekalu Ganesha and the Krishna bazaar. Sunset from Hemakuta hill.

Day 2 — Matanga sunrise, Vittala and the royal enclosure⌄
Up at 5.30 for the short climb to Matanga Hill and sunrise over the ruins. Vittala complex and the stone chariot mid-morning, then cycles for the royal enclosure, Lotus Mahal and the elephant stables in the afternoon.

Day 3 — Hippie Island and the ride home⌄
Coracle across the Tungabhadra to Virupapur Gaddi for a bouldering session and a slow lunch by the paddy fields. Back across the river, then the evening bus home.

Stay was clean, food was proper home-cooked local stuff, and the itinerary had enough slack that we weren't rushing between viewpoints. Would book with them again.
