Day-wise itinerary
Day 1 — Overnight drive, Mullayanagiri sunrise⌄
Board at Majestic at 10.30 pm, reach the base of Mullayanagiri before 5 am and walk the last stretch up to the temple for sunrise. Breakfast at the estate homestay, then an easy day with a coffee cupping session and an afternoon at Hirekolale lake.

Day 2 — Baba Budangiri, Hebbe Falls and return⌄
Drive the ridge to Baba Budangiri and Manikyadhara falls, then jeeps through the plantation to Hebbe Falls for a swim. Late lunch on the road and back at Majestic around 10 pm.

The destination and the organisation were both excellent. Only gripe is the overnight drive — bring a neck pillow and don't expect much sleep on the ghat road.

Good balance of activity and downtime. Rooms were basic but clean. The bonfire night was the highlight — everyone actually talked instead of staring at phones.
